The Science department maintains a strong track record at A level. Biology, Chemistry and Physics are all offered as well as Psychology. All are taught by a team of experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated teachers who are highly qualified. Results are consistently strong year after year.
The Science department maintains a strong track record at A level, with a number of girls opting for three sciences with Mathematics at AS level and others combining one or two sciences with arts subjects. In recent years Westfield girls have left to pursue careers in Aeronautical Engineering, Astrophysics, Dentistry, Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medicine, Optometry, Physics, Physiotherapy, Sports Science and Veterinary Science.
OCR AS/A2 specifications in Biology, Chemistry and Physics are followed. These are modular courses, assessed in January and June, and include a Centre Assessed Practical Unit.
