L2 have made some amazing exploding boxes as part of their English project on ‘Explanation’ texts.
The process being explained was ‘How to care for a pet’ and the girls chose to write about dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. They carried out research; organised their findings under appropriate headings; and added pictures with captions, as well as a glossary to explain the trickier words used.
Rather than present their work on a sheet of paper they created these colourful boxes and added card springs to give extra space for information
