The Creative Arts Soirée, which took place on Thursday 16th May, was the culmination of hard work and practise in music and the arts. Girls from across the school, both Junior and Senior Houses, performed group and solo musical pieces and the art department presented work from different year groups. There were some star performances from Senior House and Key Stage Two choirs and musicians, including beautiful solo performances on harp.
Traditional French songs were incorporated into the programme alongside more contemporary works. Art presentations were given on architecture, graphic design and fashion design with colourful works on display for all the parents to view. The evening was concluded with a jazz improvisation from our Jazz Band and an amazing clog dance from Charly Curry Brown!
Our thanks must go to both the outgoing Director of Music, Dr Hardy and our new Director of Music, Mrs Locks for their dedication in ensuring a lively and entertaining evening.
