Our Diversity Tree

Transition have been learning about Diversity.  Diversity Dani has been helping us of course. 

We have used some lovely new information books to help us understand that people all look different, have different abilities and come from different cultures.

We had some excellent discussions and the girls were very considerate, respectful and thoughtful.

We enjoyed the story of Simon Sock, which really made us think about differences, feelings and emotions.  Poor Simon Sock had lost his matching sock! 

 

We used our painted handprints to make our Diversity tree.  Our handprints are all different, we are all different, but we all grow on the same tree.

 

Mr Drake joined in too!  He pretended his hand had got stuck in the paint!

We completed some writing too.
