GCSE and A Level

Academic success is a key part of our mission, and our results each year demonstrate what students can achieve when they are supported, inspired and encouraged to thrive. Our latest exam results continue this tradition of excellence, with exceptional performances across the curriculum.

We are delighted to celebrate another outstanding set of GCSE results this year, enabling our girls to progress confidently onto the post-16 courses of their choice. We look forward to welcoming many of them back in September as they begin their A-Level studies.

Our English Department is especially proud to have achieved a 100% pass rate in English Language – a direct outcome of our focused approach, teaching Language and Literature skills separately in dedicated classes.

Overall, 93% of pupils achieved 5 or more strong passes – the highest figure in over six years. We are equally proud of the achievements of those who required additional support and those who excelled at the very highest academic level.

Pupil Highlights

Ava C
Ava joined Westfield at the start of Year 10, having previously been told she would not pass her Maths SATs. She is therefore thrilled to have achieved a Grade 6 in Maths, alongside several other excellent results – a true testament to her hard work and resilience. Ava will continue her studies at Westfield, taking Psychology, Art and English Language, and is looking forward to celebrating with friends on a weekend away at a farm.

Evie R
Evie achieved an exceptional set of results: three Grade 9s, three Grade 8s and two Grade 7s. She is particularly proud of her success in Maths, Further Maths, Geography and Physics. Having joined Westfield midway through Year 8, she is delighted to be staying on to study Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A-Level. Evie feels her time here has given her more confidence and advises Year 11 pupils: “Revise when your teachers tell you to – and don’t forget English, you really do need to revise it!”

Libby G
Libby is delighted to have achieved an outstanding Grade 8 in PE, alongside strong passes in English Language and Biology. She particularly values the personalised curriculum at Westfield, which enabled her to sit Maths a year early, and says: “Teachers really help you – they don’t leave anyone behind.” Libby will be staying on at Westfield to study Drama, Business, and a CTEC in Sport through our partnership with NSB.

Tilly M
Tilly is overjoyed with her results, especially achieving a Grade 9 in Drama and passing Maths with a Grade 5 at Higher Tier. She is celebrating today with sushi at lunch and a barbeque for dinner. Although sad to be leaving Westfield, she is looking forward to her exciting new adventures.

Holly H
Holly gained a superb set of results with four Grade 8s, six Grade 7s and a Grade 6. She is particularly pleased with her results in RS, Maths, Further Maths and English Language – where she achieved a Grade 7 despite initial worries. Having been at Westfield since Year 7, she is very sad to leave and says she will greatly miss the calm, supportive atmosphere of the school. She is celebrating with a trip to a spa and then a music festival.
