The Comenius Project at Junior House

21 October 2013

Visit Junior House and Round Square and Activities sections of the website.

Since the start of the 2012-13 academic year, Westfield School Junior House has been engaged in a multilateral COMENIUS partnership.  This involves the whole school community in a project entitled “Our World From My Window”, along with other children aged 3 to 11 years in our partner schools in Germany and France.  This project is financed by the European Commission through the British Council.

The aim of the project is for our pupils to discover a knowledge of their own locality, culture and tradition and those of the wider world and to share their discoveries and their creativity with the pupils of the partner schools.  The children will study the local environment, history, traditional festivals, stories, songs and local people and their work will be cross-curricular, involving geography, history, english, art, music, dance and environmental studies.
