Fun Fundraising Day - 28 November
21 November 2012
It was World Round Square Day on Wednesday 28 November and to celebrate the day we held a fun filled fundraising afternoon.
We had a fanastic day dressed in non-uniform and paid £2.50 each for the privilege of wearing our own clothes. There was a host of activities during the day, from an exciting tombola, face painting, Just Dance, a doughnut contest, making sherbert and sweets, a scary 'hands in the box' challenge, decorating Christmas baubles, the traditional home made cake stall, a competition to draw the most beautiful flower, guessing how many sweets were in the jar, Jousting with pillows, to having your nails painted! The event raised over £1000 and the money raised will go to support two girls that Westfield School sponsors at the Stahere Girls Centre in Nairobi. We also created a huge 'copper chain' but counting all the coppers was a nightmare!!!
We were delighted that our Junior House girls from Upper Two and Lower Three joinied us for the fun, as well as our friends from Hadrian School who joined us for lunch before the fundraising activities in the afternoon. All in all, a great day was had by all! Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the day.
