Extra Curricular Activities and The Wider CommunityThere is a wealth of opportunities in the Sixth Form to enable girls to broaden their horizons. All students are actively encouraged to take part in the programme of extra curricular activities.
The UNESCO Group
Westfield has a thriving UNESCO Group who meet on a weekly basis to organise letter campaigns, assemblies and fund raising activities to support their work on Human Rights.
This is part of our 'Stretch and Challenge' programme offered at Sixth Form level. This qualification comprises three 'in depth' A Level subjects, 1 'breadth' AS level in Critical Thinking, an Extended Project and a variety of Enrichment Activities.

Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme
This is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of practical, cultural and adventurous activities, designed to support the personal and social development of young people aged 14 - 25, regardless of gender, background or ability. It offers an individual challenge and encourages young people to undertake exciting, constructive, challenging and enjoyable activities in their free time.
Westfield is involved in regular exchanges with other European, American, African and Australian schools, particularly those involved in Round Square. A level French students are offered the opportunity to do a week’s work experience in a business in France and to stay with a French family.

Physical Education plays an important part in school life. There is a wide choice of sports on offer at Westfield - Badminton, Squash, Aerobics, Kick Boxing, Running Club, Athletics, the annual Skiing trip as well as the various 'team' sports that are available to the Sixth Form.
Round Square and International Opportunities
Every year a number of Sixth Form students are selected to attend the Annual Round Square Conference which in recent years has been held in Canada, Scotland, Germany, Australia, India, Kenya and the USA. Girls are invited to apply for Round Square Projects at many locations around the world.
