The recent Eco Schools inspection (November 2013) praised Westfield School Senior House. The following are extracts from the Inspection Report.
"The school is clearly embracing the Eco-Schools programme. They will continue to go from strength to strength if they continue at their current pace.
It is clear to see as well as pupils being well informed, all the school staff are clear in the direction the school is progressing regarding education for sustainable development, as I spoke to great staff as well as many pupils.
I would like to pass on my congratulations to all the staff and children at Westfield School Senior House and special praise to Mrs Sharon Vallance for her drive and enthusiasm in supporting sustainable development at the school; to Mrs Marion Farndale, Headmistress, for showing great leadership in sustainable development at the school.
Last but certainly not least, all the Eco Reps who I had the pleasure to meet and who supported my tour around the school as their knowledge base is fantastic. I am sure all these pupils will continue to be sustainability ambassadors throughout their educational life."
