The UNESCO Club visit Durham Cathedral
28 June 2012
The Westfield UNESCO group had a fascinating visit to Durham Cathedral, during which they learnt about it’s history and discovered why the Cathedral has UNESCO World Heritage status. They also carried out service work at the Cathedral helping with cleaning and tidying in the Cathedral and the Education Centre. The girls were able to fulfil our role as a UNESCO school by engaging with and supporting one of our local World Heritage sites. They thoroughly enjoyed working at Durham Cathedral and are looking forward to their next visit.
