Best Presentation Award goes to Young Enterprise Company Deja vu
06 May 2010
Success at the Regional Young Enterprise Competition 2010
Congratulations to our Young Enterprise company Déja Vu who attended the regional competition on Wednesday 28th April. They devised an innovative and exciting presentation which showed them on a film 'rummaging' in waste bins in order to find fabrics for their ‘upcycling’ theme. The presentation not only informed the audience about the serious side of running a business, such as team work and financial accounting but it also gave a highly amusing fashion show with the range of ‘upcylced’ products. The girls modelled beads made from old ties and t shirt bags and presented noticeboards made from old curtains and Scottie dog noticeboards made from off cut pieces of wood. The company was awarded BEST PRESENTATION.
The company report consisted of ten pages which described and evaluated the progress of the company. The front of the report was a noticeboard cover - a mini version of the product and the report was printed on recycled and shredded bank notes - all to keep in with the theme of ‘upcycling’. The girls were awarded RUNNER UP TO OVERALL BEST COMPANY.
