Junior House Events and VisitsLearning is best when children can experience it using all their senses and when the learning is set in the context of real situations; children need to see, hear, touch and feel if their learning is to be complete.
For this reason, the girls at Junior House are taken on a wide range of educational visits and friends from the community, theatre groups, artists and musicians are regular visitors to the school.
Residential visits are also an important part of the curriculum allowing for more extended study, for example of a geographical area.
In addition the girls learn, from such visits, cooperation, sociability and independence, all essential skills as they grow up. International horizons are broadened for the older girls in Junior House through participation in Young Round Square Conferences.
On the adventure holiday the girls participate in tasks including climbing, abseiling, canoing, dinghy sailing, walking and problem solving.
